My wonderful Aunt Dee passed from this life yesterday after a long battle with cancer. She will be missed. This past summer my daughter had the privilege of getting to meet her (along with my other Aunts) and I am so grateful for that.

I will post more later...

Grief is a funny thing and will strike at moments that are unexpected.. Last night my son was showing me all the mail and there was a birthday card for Roger and it occurred to me that I was excited to get a card from Grandma.. Waves of sadness came over me as I realized that never again in this life will I get a card from her. I don't care about the card! It was the fact that it was from her.. I miss her. I miss her voice. I am still really sad...

Whew. Long time since last post! Lots has happened and we've been super busy...

Hannah was accepted into the Junior National Honor Society! WOW! She will be inducted on the 26Th of February..This is a huge honor and will be a tool to help with her future...

Abbie was asked to be in an honors choir. Only 8 girls were chosen and yesterday, kids from all over the area met at Missouri Baptist University to learn to sing together. Then they performed the songs they learned all day... It was fantastic! The women who led the choirs were so awesome with these kids.. We are thankful to the music teacher for choosing Abbie.. And the biggest plus is that Abbie had a blast! She said it was one of the best days of her life. She learned a ton..

Brenden is only 8 and isn't too interested in these type things just yet. But he is in karate and loving it.. Games, reading, skate boards and pretend fighting are his thing at the moment...

We have entered another phase in parenting and rather abruptly I might add! This year has so far brought new challenges and opportunities for all of us.. In fact, I have an appointment on Wednesday with a college counselor to discuss my options. I've decided that I am going to spend the money Grandma left me on college. I was so inspired by the fact she went back to school at 42 that I am doing it too...

One of my special Aunts

I am blessed with 4 wonderful Aunts. But this post is about Judy.. She was pretty young when I was born and I spent a lot of time with her when I was little. I almost feel a sistership (is that a word?? well it is now!) with her. When we would arrive in SLC, I would run down the stairs to her room, which I thought was soooo coool! And she would still be sleeping, you know how teenagers are! And I'd jump on her bed and yell JUDY!

But what I am most proud of her for is how she lovingly took care of Grandma.. She was the one who had to make difficult decisions like taking away the keys to the car,(and she had to deal with Grandma's discontent over not being able to drive..) health matters and how to throw away expired things without getting caught.. She was a true gem and took great care of Grandma..

I just want to say, THANK YOU.. And that Grandma's farewell was wonderful.. More of a celebration. I love you so much Judy and I am so thankful for you...

All about Hannah!

Hey everybody it's Hannah!I just wanted to write a little bit about myself. As you can already tell i am pretty musical.I'm in plays about once or twice a year and i play the flute.I have also banged around on drums, bassoon, and piano.I am also a tiny bit of an artist, i love to draw and paint.I also love experimenting with my clothing and hair.I love to mix and match things untill my outfit is just perfect and then i spend 10-20 minutes on my hair! When i go to school people call me "hippie".Mostly because i have a free spirit but also because i really don't care what others think of me.Like if somone where to call me a name i'd be like ya i don't care and walk away.Lukaly thats givin me a reputation that i'm not fun to bully! And i like it this way!As you can see in the pic above me and bub are pretty close. We like japanese things and anime stuff. On the other hand thought me and Abbs don't really get along.Because we a around the same age we like a ton of the same stuff so we get in fights about that. But, all in all we love each other a lot.

comment on this people!!

Love
~Hannah
